The quality standards aim to drive measurable improvements in various areas including healthy eating in pregnancy, post natal weight loss if BMI>30, information on the healthy start scheme and food vouchers, breastfeeding and advice on introducing solid food. The quality standard aims to improve outcomes in areas such as premature deaths of mothers, children’s growth and weight status, iron deficiency anaemia, vitamin D deficiency and tooth decay.
